Alyssa Vactor-  Treasurer & Team Mom

My name is Alyssa Vactor. I will serve as the Team Mom for the 2025 AAU Basketball Season. I am married to Coach Andrew Vactor Sr., and together we have three, soon to be four children. I currently work as a Family Nurse Practitioner in Sidney, Ohio caring for infants all the way through adult life. I graduated in May 2023 with my Master’s in Nursing Science. I grew up in Sidney, Ohio and eventually transferred to Piqua High School and ended my high school academic career at Piqua. Throughout school I played basketball up until my Freshman year, when I decided to transition my focus to my softball career. I originally planned on going to school for Nursing and playing softball at the collegiate level, however an injury I suffered to my throwing arm led me to focusing on my academic career instead. I graduated from high school and immediately started studying Nursing at Edison State Community College in 2017. I played on the first ever Women’s softball team at Edison in 2017, but again strictly focused on my nursing career the remainder of my time there. I graduated from Edison in 2019 with my Registered Nurse license and began working in Dayton, Ohio as an intensive care unit nurse up until I graduated with my Master’s in 2023. In those years, I was an assistant coach of a 12U select softball team in 2019, and further head coach of the girls 14U in 2020.

Coach Matt Vactor, Sr- Coach/Life Coach/Youth Ministry

My name is Coach Matt Vactor, Sr. I have 3 children (Matt II, Maleah and Markus). I currently hold two degrees. The first is an Associate’s degree in early childhood education from Clark State Community College, and the second is a Bachelor’s degree from Ohio Christian University in Ministry. I am currently working for Urbana City Schools, where I am a Paraprofessional who provides services to the students. I also work one on one with students who have disabilities. I played basketball for Urbana High School and was a team captain during my senior year under Coach Tim Lacy. That year we were CBC Champions and went to the District Final Game at UD Arena. I was a scholar/athlete in high school, earning numerous awards and finances to put towards my college education. I began coaching basketball and training basketball athletes in 2000 under the direction of the Legendary Urbana High School’s Girls Coach, Bill “Skeeter” Moss! “Skeet” as we knew him gave me my first opportunity to coach in the Elementary League at Urbana Local School at the time. My very first group was a group that many had no confidence in, but I did and that team finished the regular season undefeated, and came in second place in the league tournament. Since that point in time, I have now been coaching and training youth for 24 years in total. I have been blessed to be a husband, father, teacher, coach, mentor and leader in the community for many years! I am thankful for each and every opportunity that I am granted to work with the youth in the area! I have been a Head Coach at the Youth level, at the Junior High level and for the past four years at the High School level. I have continued to learn, grow, respect and teach the game of basketball year in and year out. I am also blessed to be a Deacon at Jerusalem 2 nd Baptist Church in Urbana, Ohio. I began training to be a Deacon in 2007 after years of being a Junior Deacon in the church. Once three years of training were over, I was afforded to become a full-fledged Deacon in 2010 by way of Deacon Ordination with our then Pastor, Miysan Crosswhite. I am thankful that God called me and put me to work in our church. I have continued that calling under the direction of Pastor Michael Freeman, who is now our Pastor. Under Pastor Freeman, I have grown mental, and spiritually and am a part of the joint Board of Deacons and Trustees. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me whenever.
